4230 Raleigh Street Construction Update – Roof & Electrical Almost Complete

Things are moving along at 4230 Raleigh Street. Since last week we’ve finished up rough plumbing and HVAC and rough electrical is almost complete. The roof and gutters have been installed on both the house and the detached garage. In the next week we’ll be installing our insulation and getting rough drywall underway. The brick exterior should be going up in about a week as well. From there we’ll be on the homestretch and the house will really start to take it’s final form both inside and out. the plan is to list on the MLS within a week or so. Below is a shot with the roof and gutters installed. The porch roof will be finished off once the exterior brick is in place.

Our electrical panel is awaiting a few final tweaks and then we’ll be ready for our inspection from the city of Denver.

The garage is pretty well complete other than exterior paint and downspouts. One of goals with this and future projects is to provide a home of ample size but also to provide a reasonably sized yard. While we’re only working with a 5,580 SF lot the yard will actually be larger than some of the neighboring homes that are smaller in their footprints. We have roughly 45 feet clear from the rear of the home to the back of the garage… plenty of room for a play set, patio, and some room for the kids and pets to roam. When it’s all said and done we’ll have considerably more privacy than many of the suburban new builds going up on similar lot sizes.

Here’s a view from the garage looking back to the rear of the home. With our extra wide sliding patio doors off the living room we will have a good sense of connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces.
